Ensuring consistency and improving accessibility
Challenge
minPension serves millions of Swedes managing their pension data, a product where clarity and trust are non-negotiable. The platform needed a unified design system, creating inconsistency across the interface and friction between design and development teams.
Solution
I led the end-to-end creation of a Figma-based design system, from research and principles to a full component library built in Storybook. Working iteratively with designers, developers, and a project manager, I established design principles around accessibility, reduced cognitive load, and data-informed decisions. We mapped customer journeys across diverse user segments and ran collaborative workshops to align teams around shared priorities.
Result
The design system unified the product experience and significantly improved collaboration between design and development through a shared code library.
Users gained a clearer, more trustworthy way to navigate sensitive financial information, reinforcing minPension’s commitment to simplicity, accessibility, and security.
